Capabilities

3” thick mild steel part we processed for a customer.

At AAM Precision Jet Cutting our state-of-the-art abrasive water jets can handle materials up to 12’X6’; and still cut with an accuracy of +- .005”. We can adjust the size of the cutting kerf diameter from .02” to allow for surgically tight edge tolerances, or .045” to provide our customers with a more efficient process.

PJC water jets can handle up to 8” thick steel.

Benefits of abrasive waterjet cutting include:

  • Cuts without edge burrs
  • Cuts complex patterns without additional tooling
  • Generates no heat; materials edge is unaffected.

Materials that can be cut by the abrasive waterjet process:
